Question by Katie: Are there any weight loss tips for teenage girls?
I’m 14,I’m 5?4 and weigh 145 lbs. I want to lose weight but also cut my cravings for snacks.


My family won’t limit me on what I eat, and I eat because I’m hungry, not because I’m bored. Are there any ways to improve my weight that aren’t obvious? I recently quit swimming and I now swim once a week for 1 1/2 hours, and help in the pool for another 1 1/2.


I understand I need to exercise, but running seems so boring and even with music or other people I get bored easily. I’d like to be able to exercise at home, if possible.
I know anorexia is a bad idea, and I’d appreciate not going on some ‘miracle berry’ or a website that isn’t trustworthy.

Low calorie diets are a great way to create a slow metabolism. If your ultimate goal is to create a slow metabolism than a low calorie diet is the way to go…………………I seriously doubt you are looking for a slow metabolism ;) . I found a great video on youtube that explains what happens to your body on a low calorie diet
hope this discourages you from cutting your calories way back to lose weight!!

Question by D.U.: Weight loss pills + extreme diet + exercise?
I have gone up and down with dieting for the past 10 years, and I am really trying to end that cycle starting this January. My plan is to start on some weight loss pill and extremely limit my food intake (I’m talking 200-500 calories/day total) and exercising a lot (2-3 hrs/day). My ultimate goal is to be 140-150 (currently around 230) by June 1st. The reason, in case you’re wondering, why I am taking such extreme measures is because I have PCOS, so it is/has been very difficult for me to lose weight.


Does this plan sound do-able? And do you have any tips for successful weight-loss pills?
No silly answers, please!

Firstly, weight loss pills do nothing.
They are just a money making scam.
Secondly, the extreme diet and exercise. Yes they will work but will you be able to continue this without turing anorexic…?

For instance the ones that tell you:
If you weigh “a” and you want to weigh “b” and your bmi is “c”, then you need to take in “x” calories per day in order to achieve your goal.

I am checking to see if there is anything new that is out in the prescription market that will help you lose weight? Or if anyone has heard of any up and coming weight loss drugs that are promising. I would be up for a weight loss study with a new drug that they are testing.

Don’t quote me on this…………..I vaguely remember a discussion about a new diet pill or might have been shot. We were also discussing anti smoking shots and pills coming onto the market. Try google.

I am assuming you already know of phentermine, bontrell, adipex and all the other prescription medications.
